Uganda’s Cricket Cranes secured their second victory at the ILT20 Cup in Kigali, beating Botswana by five wickets.
Botswana chose to bat after winning the toss, while Uganda made one change, bringing Enock Kasaija into the team in place of Cosmas Kyewuta.
Juma Miyaji led Uganda’s bowling effort with 2/9, while Joseph Baguma claimed 3/14 as Botswana finished on 101/7 from 20 overs. Botswana scored steadily at around five runs per over but never built significant momentum.
Uganda’s chase suffered an early setback when Anas Baig again failed to make a substantial contribution. Robinson Obuya anchored the innings with an unbeaten 51, while Charles Musemeza scored 15 and Gerald Olipa added 24.
Despite losing two wickets late in the innings, Uganda reached the target by five wickets to preserve a perfect record in the tournament. The defending champions are pursuing a third title.
The Cricket Cranes will next face hosts Rwanda.
